This page explains how Kayacorde Ardèche uses information you provide when making an enquiry, booking an activity or leaving a review on the website.

Who is responsible for your data?

Why do we ask for information?

When you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we use your contact details and the information you provide to answer your enquiry and help plan your trip.

When you book, we use the necessary information to organise the activity, communicate with you, manage your booking and prepare the relevant documents. Information needed to arrange or fulfil a booking is processed to take steps before entering into a contract and to perform that contract. Billing records are also processed to meet our legal obligations.

Where is your information managed?

Bookings are managed through our online booking system. We communicate with you using our Gmail email service, by phone and, if you choose that channel, through WhatsApp.

The technical service providers needed to operate these services may process certain data as part of their services.

Is your information shared with guides or used for advertising?

Kayacorde does not pass customer information on to guides. We do not send newsletters or promotional offers to former customers.

What happens when you leave a review?

You can leave a comment on our Reviews page. Your name and comment may be displayed publicly; your email address is not intended to be published. The form also includes an optional website field.

Technical information may be used to manage comments and prevent abuse. Gravatar may display an avatar linked to your email address using a hash of that address. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect the form.

What are cookies and external services used for?

The website uses a Tarteaucitron panel to present cookie choices. You can reopen it using “Cookie settings” or “Gérer les cookies” at the bottom of the page.

Google Analytics is configured for website traffic measurement. Embedded content, including videos, and links to WhatsApp or social media may involve external services. The information they receive depends on the content loaded and how you use those services.

How long do we keep your information?

Information used to follow up an enquiry that does not lead to a booking is deleted no later than 12 months after our last exchange. Information used to follow up an activity is deleted no later than 12 months after the activity takes place. Documents needed to meet our legal obligations or handle a dispute are kept separately for the applicable retention periods.

This 12-month period does not apply to published reviews, cookies or technical data, which serve different purposes.

What are your rights?

Depending on the processing and the conditions set out by law, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion or restriction of its use. Rights to object and to data portability apply where provided for by law.

To exercise your rights, email contact@kayacorde-ardeche.com. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
